nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version and nubia Z60S Pro launches tomorrow; Up to RM1,100 discounts for first sales promo
nubia has announced that arrival of two new smartphones in Malaysia, the Z60 Ultra Leading Version and the Z60S Pro.
If the name sounds familiar to you, that’s because these are new iterations of the nubia Z60 Ultra released on Christmas Day last year. In fact, there was even a Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition launched in April this year which featured vegan leather wrapping.
As for the new models on the block, nubia says they are integrated with a host of AI capabilities, boosting both performance and photograhy.
nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version specs
Starting first with the Z60 Ultra Leading Version, it owes its name to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset which runs the phone. This is only the second phone in Malaysia to sport this variant of Qualcomm’s flagship chipset, with the first being the freshly launched REDMAGIC 9S Pro.
According to nubia, the new chipset boast computing power of up to 73 TOPS, promising greater AI capabilities. In other aspects related to AI, nubia says that its 6,000mAh battery is built with AI ‘Zero’ power consumption 2.0 technology which promises extended battery life. Charging, on the other hand, remains at 80W.
Elsewhere, camera arrays are maintained with a 50MP (35mm) main camera, a 64MP (85mm) telephoto camera, and a 50MP (18mm) ultra-wide, all of which are fitted with OIS and enhanced by nubia’s NeoVision AI Photography System 2.0.
Front cameras, too, are kept to a 12MP under-display selfie shooter.
The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version comes in two configurations, a 12GB+256GB variant retailing at RM3,499, and a 16GB+512GB variant at RM4,299.
However, a first sale promo running exclusively on Lazada from 1 – 10 August 2024 will see prices drop to RM2,899 and RM3,499 respectively. This, along with a complimentary pair of ZTE Buds 2 worth RM199.
nubia Z60S Pro specs
As for the Z60S Pro, this model utilizes last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Not quite the AI-enhanced processor found on its sibling, but it still comes with a host of AI features, including Magic Eraser, AI Sky, and AI Blue for post-editing your photos.
You’ll still get NeoVision AI Photography System 2.0 here, providing enhancements to photography. On that note, the camera array consists of a 50MP (35mm) Sony 9 Series main camera, a 50MP (13mm) ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto. Of the three, only the main camera has OIS.
Additionally, there’s also the AI ‘Zero’ power consumption 2.0 technology helping the 5,100mAh battery.
The nubia Z60S Pro comes in three colours: Black, Aqua, and White.
You can choose between a 12GB+256GB variant retailing at RM2,999, or a 16GB+512GB variant retailing at RM3,699.
Similarly, a Lazada-exclusive first sale promo will run from 1 – 10 August 2024. This will see prices drop to RM2,199 for the 12GB+256GB model, while the 16GB+512GB model gets a whopping RM1,100 discount down to RM2,599.
