nubia Neo 3 Series 5G with shoulder triggers now available in Malaysia; Prices start at RM999
Those currently seeking an affordable gaming smartphone should take note of nubia’s latest Neo 3 Series. The series – which consists of the Neo 3 5G and the Neo 3 GT 5G – is unabashedly designed for gamers with its aggressive cyber aesthetics and improved AI Game Space 3.0 interface.
Starting with the nubia Neo 3 5G, the base model sports a dual-toned rear panel adorned by RGB lights. It is offered in three designs: Shadow Black, Cyber Silver, and Titanium Gold. The phone runs on the Unisoc T8300 processor, with a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Staying true to its gaming roots, the phone features shoulder triggers, which users can map for additional controls. On that note, its 6.8″ FHD (2030×900) display with a 120Hz refresh rate should provide a decent gaming experience. Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery with 33W wired charging.

Moreover, it is powered by the Unisoc T9100 6nm 5G processor and comes with a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration.
Unsurprisingly, the GT variant has the better display thanks to the 6.8″ OLED panel, which offers FHD+ (1080×2392) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It also offers 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and 1,300nits peak brightness.
You’ll still find shoulder triggers here, along with stereo dual speakers, enhanced by DTS:X Ultra. Adding to the gaming experience is a 4,083mm2 VC system that helps keep thermals in check.
While the GT variant packs the same 6,000mAh battery, it supports much faster 80W wired charging compared to the Neo 3 5G. The camera setup remains the same, with a 50MP + 2MP rear setup and a 16MP front setup. It also carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
