The nubia Air Is Here for Those Who Can’t Afford an iPhone Air

By Timothy Teoh October 17, 2025

We recently reported that retailers, namely DirectD and SS Solution, had jumped the gun and revealed the pricing of the nubia Air ahead of its launch. That has now been confirmed, as the nubia Air has officially been unveiled.

As leaked, the nubia Air arrives in a single 8GB/256GB configuration with an official retail price of RM1,099. However, early birds can purchase the phone for just RM899 for a limited time, though the duration has not been disclosed. The promo also includes a free ZTE 10,000mAh powerbank (limited to the first 20 units only) and 12 months screen crack protection.

The phone is already listed on nubia REDMAGIC MY’s official online stores on Shopee and Lazada.

The nubia Air is positioned as a budget ultra-slim phone, with its thin profile comparable to that of the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge. Dimension-wise, it serves as a solid alternative for those who crave an ultra-slim experience but can’t justify the premium price of its rivals.

It also features an aluminium alloy frame to provide the structural strength required for a device this slim.

In terms of performance, the UNISOC T8300 5G SoC powers the nubia Air, while battery endurance is supported by a 5,000mAh unit with 33W wired charging.

The phone sports a 6.78″ AMOLED panel with a 1.5K (1224×2720) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 4,500 nits peak brightness. It offers fairly accurate colours thanks to its 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, while the device itself is IP68, IP69, and IP69K rated for dust resistance and waterproofing.

It keeps to a modest camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth camera, while the front camera comes with a 20MP lens.

The nubia Air is available in Titanium Black and Titanium Desert.
