Nothing’s Ear (2) now available in black, gets new features via update

July 10, 2023

Nothing, the London-based consumer tech brand, has just announced a colour update for their flagship wireless audio earphones, the Nothing Ear (2).

Essentially, the Ear (2) is now available in black, and along with this release Nothing also released notable software feature updates for both the Ear (2) and Ear (stick), features which are accessible via the Nothing X app.

The new software update introduces a brand new “Advanced Equaliser” feature, where both Ear (2) and Ear (stick) users are now able to have more customised sound with higher levels of precision for an even greater enhanced listening experience.

“Advanced Equaliser” is touted to be able to allow more freedom for users to control how they want to hear their music through a simple and intuitive graphical UI that Nothing has developed.

The headline feature of “Advanced Equaliser” includes having a deep level of customisation through a parametric 8-band equaliser with real time review of the changes. Besides that, users are also able to share their EQ profiles or download the profiles of others through a QR code.

Nothing has also introduced a “Noise Reduction” feature for Ear (stick) users, also available in the Nothing X app. Both the “Advanced Equaliser” and “Noise Reduction” feature updates are available immediately.

The Nothing Ear (2) in black will be priced at RM599, and will go on general sale on July 22 across all of Nothing’s authorised partners, both online and offline. This will mean that the product will be available through the likes of DirectD, TMT, and their Lazada and Shopee stores.

On another note, Nothing will also be collaborating with retail store Crossover, where they will be having an exclusive drop for the Ear (2) black on 15 July. Limited quantities of the product will be made available to purchase early, so fans of the brand and product can look forward to getting them just 2 days after London!
