Nothing Phone (4a): Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 midranger with Glyph Bar, priced at RM1,999
The Nothing Phone (4a) debuted in Malaysia alongside the Phone (4a) Pro, and while not having the ‘Pro’ moniker also meant losing Glyph Matrix, the Phone (4a) still has its own identity thanks to its Glyph Bar lighting on the back.

The Nothing Phone (4a) will be available in a single configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at RM1,999. Early access to the Phone (4a) will commence on 4 April at the Nothing Image Store, Plaza Lowyat, with pre-orders already available on the Nothing Malaysia website and selected retail partners. Pre-orders will come with RM100 off, a 1-year extended warranty and merch too.

Unlike the Pro, Nothing has kept the full transparent back panel on the Phone (4a), with a central camera bump. The London firm claims its more durable now with a stronger frame and metal buttons, as well as an IP64 dust and water resistance rating.
The iconic lighting on the back however has been reduced to just a vertical bar next to the camera bump, dubbed the Glyph Bar. It has 63 miniLEDs packed into 7 square light zones, with each capable of 3500nits of brightness, 40% brighter than the Phone (3a)’s Glyph Interface. They add that you should have no issue seeing your Bar light up outdoors thanks to zero light leakage.
As for its cameras, the Phone (4a) comes with a 50MP, f/1.9 main camera using a Samsung GN9 sensor, a 50MP, f/2.9 periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide along with a 32MP, f/2.2 front camera.
The display itself is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution for a 440PPI pixel density, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak HDR brightness of 4500nits. Under the hood is Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 system-on-chip, with 12GB of LPDDR4X memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. You get Nothing OS 4.1 skinned over Android 16 out of the box, with a guarantee of three major OS upgrades and six years of security patches.
Other features of note include a 5,080mAh battery with support for 50W fast charging, stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor. You’ll be able to get the Phone (4a) in Black, White, Pink and Blue colourways.
