Nothing Phone (4a) Pro: Premium midranger with Glyph Matrix, priced at RM2,299

By Raymond Saw April 2, 2026

After first being revealed on the global stage, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is finally in Malaysia. Unlike the previous Phone (3), the Phone (4a) Pro is more like the original Phone (1) as it’s positioned as a premium upper midrange device, balancing price and performance.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro Malaysia pricing and availability

The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro will be available in a single configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at RM2,299. Early access to the Phone (4a) Pro will begin on 4 April, exclusively at Crossover Sunway Pyramid, while pre-orders will begin from now till 9 April via the Nothing Malaysia website as well as selected retail partners. Pre-orders will come with a RM100 discount, a 1-year extended warranty along with merch items.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro specs

The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro looks the least like a classic Nothing device, as it now has a metal unibody chassis with flat surfaces that measure just 7.95mm thin, their thinnest yet. You still have a transparent back panel, but it’s been reduced to just the camera plateau, surrounding the cameras and the Glyph Matrix.

And as for the Glyph Matrix, it has just 137 miniLEDs on it. That’s less lighting that Nothing’s previous generation of smartphones but the London company does say that the Phone (4a) Pro’s Glyph Matrix is 100% brighter at 3,000nits and covers a 57% larger area. There’s no Glyph Button now either, so you’ll have to go into settings to tweak your notification light patterns or mess with the Glyph Toys.

The screen itself is a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution for a pixel density of 450PPI. It’s also capable of a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000nits, and you’ll find a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i over it.

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 system-on-chip, mated to up to 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. You’ll get Nothing OS 4.1 out of the box skinned over Android 16, and Nothing says they’re guaranteeing at least three major Android OS upgrades with six years of security patches.

As for cameras, the Phone (4a) Pro packs a main 50MP, f/1.9 camera with a Sony LYT700c sensor alongside a 50MP, f/2.9 periscope telephoto and an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide, while a 32MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter sits upfront. That telephoto offers a 3.5x optical zoom but can also go up to a 140x digital zoom, the longest zoom on a Nothing phone ever.

Other features of note include a 5,080mAh battery with 50W fast charging, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers and an IP65 dust and water resistance rating. You’ll be able to get the Phone (4a) Pro in Black, Silver and Pink colourways.
