Did Nothing Really Kill the Glyph Interface? New Phone (3) Leak Suggests So

Nothing is set to end the wait for the highly anticipated Phone (3), launching on 2 July at 1 AM Malaysia Time. In their usual cryptic ways, Nothing has been actively teasing micro glimpses of the phone on their official Instagram page. But the most intriguing teaser of all is a post in which they claimed to have “killed the Glyph Interface” — the iconic light interface on the rear panel synonymous with the Nothing brand.
It was all very ambiguous. To Nothing’s credit, they’ve managed to keep leaks of the phone under lock and key… until now.
Seemingly out of the blue, X user Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) posted renders of what is believed to be the Nothing Phone (3). He didn’t say much, except: “There have already been quite a few teasers and leaks, but that’s not enough. Here comes your very first look at the upcoming Nothing Phone (3)!”

If this render is accurate, it looks like Nothing is taking a page from the Phone (3a) Pro by centralizing the camera system. It’s a notable design overhaul from the 2023 Phone (2), which featured a vertically aligned dual-camera setup in the top corner.
The most striking detail — or lack thereof — is the absence of the Glyph Interface, or any light system for that matter. It looks like it’s RIP to the GI.

With the Phone (3) expected to cost around £800 (~RM4,500), it could be RIP to your monthly salary too. Still, rumours will remain rumours until proven true. We’ll save our breath for when more concrete leaks come through — or when Nothing themselves reveal the phone in July.
