Only 25 units of the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition will be available in Malaysia
In case you missed it, Nothing has been working on a Community Edition of the Phone (2a) Plus over the past few months. Now, Nothing is ready to unveil the special edition design of the phone, created in collaboration with followers who had been shortlisted over a period of six months.
The shortlisted winners were Astrid Vanhuyse, Kenta Akasaki, Andrés Mateos, Ian Henry Simmonds, and Sonya Palma, all of whom had a hand in the hardware, wallpaper, packaging, and marketing aspects of Nothing’s first co-created smartphone.
The Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition sports a vastly different colour scheme compared to the original model. The main structure of the rear panels remain untouched, but the Community Edition now dons a phosphorescent green design that glows in the dark. According to Nothing, the glow can last for hours, and is recharged under daylight.
Nothing will only produce 1,000 units of the phone, with only 25 units available in Malaysia. Interested buyers can purchase the Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition from 16th November onwards at Crossover’s official online store. It is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Despite being a special edition device, there is no changes in pricing with the phone sporting a RM1,999 price tag.
