Nothing Headphones (1) Debut with Roller and Paddle Controls; Priced at £299

By Timothy Teoh July 2, 2025

After a good month or so of teasers, Nothing has finally revealed its take on their first-ever over-ear headphones – the Nothing Headphone (1).

If you are familiar with the Nothing brand, you would know they are no strangers to audio wearables, with their extensive range of TWS earbuds. The open-ear headphones seemed a matter of time, and they are now finally unveiled alongside the Phone (3).

Cutting straight to the chase, the Nothing Headphones (1) sport a rather squarish outlook. It’s definitely a design that will draw attention, particularly with its semi-transparent earpads.

The controls are also rather unique. Instead of the conventional clickable volume buttons, Nothing has decided to go with volume rollers, allowing for continuous volume control. It all sounds fun and dandy, but I pray you won’t have mischievous friends who turn that roller up to 100% and blow your eardrums out. Anyway, the roller also functions as a play/pause button and toggles ANC settings when long pressed.

Next to the roller is a paddle that clicks back and forth to skip or replay tracks.

Specs-wise, the Headphones (1) feature 40mm dynamic drivers with sound quality tuned by British audio brand KEF. Additionally, it offers up to 42dB ANC. According to Nothing, the headphones can last up to 80 hours with ANC off, and 35 hours with ANC on. It supports Bluetooth 5.3 and is IP52-rated for dust and water resistance.

Nothing Headphones (1) Price

The official retail price of the Nothing Headphone (1) is £299. The official pricing in Malaysia has yet to be revealed, but the converted price in MYR is RM1,727.52.

The Nothing Malaysia website currently list the headphones in Black and White models.
