Nothing Headphone (a) features

Their latest addition to their over-ear lineup combines the brand’s signature transparent design with a more playful aesthetic. It comes in Pink, Yellow, White and Black, targeting users who want both style and high-quality audio. These cans weigh just 310g and feature breathable memory foam ear cushions for extended comfort. It also carries an IP52 rating, offering protection against dust and light water exposure, making it suitable for workouts and daily commuting.

Battery life is perhaps its most standout feature, with up to 135 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC turned off. A quick 5-minute charge provides up to 5 hours of listening time, which is useful for users on the go. As for actually using it, instead of touch controls, Headphone (a) uses tactile inputs including a Roller, Paddle and Button for volume, media playback and ANC adjustments.
The Button also enables “Channel Hop”, allowing users to switch between apps without using their phone. It can double as a remote camera shutter to take photos or start video recording on a connected smartphone.

The Headphone (a) packs 40mm drivers, capable of 20Hz – 40,000Hz and have a layer of titanium coating over the diaphragms. It supports Hi-Resolution Audio Wireless and the LDAC codec, with Nothing’s own custom tuning out of the box. There’s also Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation with three levels (low, mid, high), as well as Transparency Mode. The hybrid ANC system uses dual microphones and AI to adjust noise cancellation in real time based on surroundings and fit.
Users can fine-tune audio using an 8-band EQ in the Nothing X app. The app also supports sharing custom sound profiles with other users. A bass enhancement algorithm dynamically boosts low frequencies without affecting mids and highs. For calls, a 3-microphone system with AI noise reduction helps isolate voice even in noisy environments.
