Nothing Ear (open) will drop exclusively at Crossover’s online store on 28 September
The open ear headphones fad will have a new contender in the market now that the Nothing Ear (open) is set to drop soon. Nothing isn’t new to the wearable audio scene having launched a few true wireless under their belt. This, however, is the brand’s first open ear headphones.
True to their design philosophy, the Ear (open) features a transparent lid on the casing, much like the current Ear and Ear (a) design. The stem of the buds, too, maintains the semi-transparent body iconic to the Nothing earbuds. On that note, Nothing says the buds weigh only 8.1g each with silicon ear hooks that feature a thicker end to keep the hooks in place around the ears.
The Nothing Ear (open) features Open Sound Technology which the brand says provides the best of an immersive audio experience and spatial awareness. To curb sound leakage, Nothing has integrated what they call a Sound Seal System to minimize audio leaks.
According to Nothing, the Ear (open) will last you 8 hours of playback on a single charge. With the case, you can expect a total of 30 hours.
Other noteworthy features include Dual Connection, Low Lag Mode, Clear Voice Technology, and voice-controlled access to ChatGPT via the Nothing X app.
Nothing Ear (open) pricing and availability
