New budget phone Infinix SMART 8 launches today; Priced at only RM299
Infinix Malaysia has officially launched its latest budget offering, the SMART 8, here in Malaysia. The SMART Series focuses on providing budget smartphone to consumers, and the latest addition is no different.
The SMART 8 retails for only RM299 in Malaysia, and is available starting 28th May 2024. Interested buyers can purchase the SMART 8 from authorised dealers, as well as official Infinix online channels, including Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
Taking a brief look at its specs, the SMART 8 runs on an Octa-core processor. Performance is helped with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, with RAM expandable up to 6GB via extended RAM. There’s also a microSD card slot available for additional storage up to 2TB.
For displays, the SMART 8 sports a 6.6″ LCD panel offering 720p resolution, 90Hz refresh rates, and 500nits of peak brightness. On the rear panels, you’ll find a dual camera setup consisting of a 13MP main camera flanked by an auxiliary lens. While at the front sits its 8MP selfie shooter.
There’s a side-fingerprint sensor available as an unlocking option, as well as a 3.5mm jack. Unfortunately, the SMART 8 does not support NFC.
Keeping things running is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging.
The SMART 8 is available in 4 colours: Shiny Gold, Crystal Green, Galaxy White, and Timber Black.
