The Ministry of Digital has announced that the MyGov Malaysia app, a new digital gateway for government services, will be launched in July. The application is designed to centralise access to various public services into one platform, making it easier for Malaysians to interact with government agencies.

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said that the MyGov Malaysia app is part of the government’s broader GovTech initiative. “This is part of the government’s plan to transform Malaysia into a digital nation. It is only right to ensure we have a single platform where Malaysians can deal with various government agencies seamlessly,” he said in a statement.

At launch, the MyGov Malaysia app will support seven key services:

  • Travel (passport-related matters)
  • Registration (birth and citizenship)
  • Driving (road tax and driving license)
  • Healthcare (appointments and medical records)
  • Summonses
  • Housing (land tax/assessment rates)
  • Rahmah Cash Aid

The ministry has also confirmed that more features will be introduced in future updates.

Gobind also confirmed that MyDigital ID will be integrated into the MyGov Malaysia app, allowing users to verify their identity using their individual MyDigital ID credentials.

As of June 23, more than 2.6 million Malaysians have registered for MyDigital ID. The digital ID is currently connected to 34 government systems, with more integrations planned.

The MyGov Malaysia app is already available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, ahead of its full service rollout in July.
