MyFirst Insta Lux: Kids-friendly instant camera now in Malaysia, priced at RM799
MyFirst, a Singaporean tech company building tech devices for children, has introduced a slew of new products in Malaysia. Their headline product is the MyFirst Insta Lux, a kids-friendly instant camera, alongside other devices designed to be a complete ecosystem for children.
Starting off with the MyFirst Insta Lux, this instant camera features a two 5MP cameras, one on the front and one on the rear, letting your kid take both pictures of the world around them and themselves. There’s also a 2.8-inch IPS display as its viewfinder, on top of WiFi connectivity to let it receive photos from a parent’s smartphone via the MyFirst Circle app for on-the-go printing. You’ll even get two complimentary refill packs of film, each worth RM98.
What sets the MyFirst Insta Lux apart from other traditional instant cameras is through its use of dye-sublimation technology. This avoids any messy inks, as there’s no actual liquid ink involved in the printing process. MyFirst also claims better colour clarity, leading to sharper images. The film itself also has an extra layer on top to make it more resistant against dust, fingerprints and moisture.
Other than that, MyFirst also announced the MyFirst Fone M1, a 4G-enabled smartphone phone designed for kids. It offers real-time GPS tracking, voice and video calls, as well as messaging within the MyFirst Circle network. There’s also the MyFirst Carebuds Max, which are wireless over-ear headphones designed specifically for growing ears. It features smart volume limiting between 85dB to 94dB, a lightweight child-friendly fit and interchangeable ear cups for personalisation.
MyFirst also introduced the MyFirst 3DPen Make Creator Kid, which is an all-in-one creative starter set that includes a 3D printing pen, themed model packs and PCL filaments for instant building. Lastly, there’s the MyFirst Frame Clario and MyFirst Sketch Board Pro. The former is a 7-inch smart family frame with private photo sharing and one-tap video calls, while the latter is a lightweight digital drawing tablet designed to turn screen time into creativity.

In conjunction with the launch, MyFirst is hosting a public roadshow at LG2 Orange Concourse in Sunway Pyramid from 26 to 29 March 2026. Don’t worry if you can’t make it though, as MyFirst plans to open a retail outlet at Sunway Pyramid and IOI City Mall later this year.
