Introduction

  1. PriceShop’s “My Super Dad” (“Contest”) is organized by Price Guide Sdn Bhd (“Organizer”).
  2. “My Super Dad” (“Contest”) will end on 19 June 2021 at 23:59:59.
  3. Any entries submitted after the contest period will not be entertained.
  4. The organizer reserves the rights to change, postpone, update and/or extend the contest period and/or cancel/end the contest at any time without any prior notice.

Eligibility

  1. The contest is open to all residence of Malaysia with valid documentation such as Identification Card (IC) or Passport.
  2. Participants must fulfill all the above requirements in order for entries to be considered valid.
  3. Entries can be in English, Chinese (Mandarin) or Malay.
  4. Entries MUST NOT exceed 150 words.
  5. Each participant may only submit one (1) entry. Additional entries will be forfeited.
  6. Participants may select more than one (1) prize as long as the total value does not exceed RM3,000.
  7. Employees and family members or Price Guide Sdn Bhd are not eligible to join the contest.

Winner Selection

  1. One (1) lucky winner will be selected by PriceShop’s management based on the most touching / heartfelt comment.
  2. Winners will be notified and announced on my.priceshop.com as well as PriceShop’s official Facebook page on 20th June 2021.
  3. In the event the winner fails to claim the prize from the organizer via PM within 24hours of the winner announcement, The organizer reserves the rights to select a new winner through the same process. The organizer will not be held responsible should the winner be unreachable no matter the reason.

    Malaysia Newly Launched:

    1. MySejahtera App now allows users to indicated pregnancy / breastfeeding status.

    As not all vaccines are recommended for pregnant / breastfeeding mothers, it is important to assign vaccines to mothers appropriately.

    With that being said, the MySejahtera app now allows users to indicate breastfeeding/pregnancy status. Simply follow the steps above to update accordingly. Be sure to also inform any friends and family who may not have updated!

    2. PropertyGuru acquires iProperty

    In a statement released on 31 May 2021, PropertyGuru Group has entered into an agreement with REA Group whereby PropertyGuru will acquire all of the shares in REA Group’s operating entities in Malaysia and Thailand, which operate iProperty.com.my and Brickz.my in Malaysia and thinkofliving.com and Prakard.com in Thailand.

    Through this agreement, REA Group will receive an 18% equity interest in the enlarged PropertyGuru Group and appoint a Director to the Board.

    3. Grab is offering exclusive ride promos for senior citizens.

    Grab is offering RM8 off 4 rides for citizens aged 60 and above and are Grab users starting from 12 June. This promo is especially to help senior citizens without any personal transport travel to and fro from their homes to the appointed vaccine centers.

    How to get the promo code?

    1. Register for a Grab account and verify your age on GrabPay by 7 June 2021 (users will need to complete their KYC registration);
    2. On the appointment day, book a Grab ride (open to all ride types)  by entering the vaccination centres location;
    3. Copy and paste the promo code from your inbox into the “offer” tab;
    4. Promo will also be applicable for all payment methods; 
    5. Upon completing their vaccination, users can then book a Grab ride  from the vaccination centre to their homes.

    4. Sam, a dreamy virtual assistant took the internet by storm.

    Who is Samantha Samsung, the currently popular online character? - Polygon

    Samsung was back in the headlines this past week but it isn’t due to any new product launches. Instead, it is thanks to the surfacing of Sam, a 3D render of a virtual assistant.

    The internet was quick to react with many fan arts being created of Sam and distributed across TikTok, Reddit and Twitter.

    Unfortunately, according to reports by Polygon, Sam was created by a design firm named Lightfarm. These images were with a marketing company owned by Samsung, but the final product was never incorporated into any kind of campaign. Instead, the images were stored on the Lightfarm site for some time until the company deleted the post.

    Will Samsung take this as an indication to proceed with the idea? Probably not. Regardless, we can still enjoy some of the fan arts created. Here’s our favourite
