Microsoft Surface Pro 8 & Surface Laptop Studio Full Specifications
Microsoft has wrapped up their recent Surface event on 22 September. Some of the new releases worth anticipating are the Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop Studio, which have exciting features and promising upgrades.

Surface Pro 8
The Surface Pro 8 is Microsoft’s newest 2-in-1 Windows device. Its body is made of anodised aluminium and is available in graphite or platinum colour.
The Surface Pro Signature Keyboard and Surface Slim Pen 2 are also available as accessories but sold separately.
Microsoft has dubbed Surface Pro 8 as the “most powerful Pro”, and with good reason!
Surface Pro 8 Key Highlights
Surface Pro 8 provides high performance levels through a highly versatile device. It pushes the limits of what you can expect from a computer.

- 11th Gen Intel Core processors: It uses Intel Core i5-1135G7 or i7-1185G7 processors, Intel Xe Graphics and the fresh-out-of-the-box Windows 11 Home edition. With powerful hardware providing high performance and built-in active cooling, it is more capable than ever to handle heavy workloads.
- All-day battery: It comes with a 51.5Wh battery, which will last up to 16 hours for typical device usage. The Fast Charging feature also helps you stay connected all day.
- High-speed connections with two Thunderbolt 4 ports: Set up the perfect work layout with multiple 4K monitors, an external hard drive to keep huge creative files on hand, or even the ultimate gaming setup with an external GPU!
The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is available for purchase on 5 October starting at USD1,099.99 (RM4,606.76). However, the expected local availability is early 2022, though there is still no update on the pricing yet.

Surface Laptop Studio
Microsoft had kept the best announcement for last, revealing the Surface Laptop Studio nearing the end of the Surface event.
The laptop’s body is made of magnesium and aluminium and comes in a platinum colour. It has a hinge that allows you to move the display over the keyboard, making a smooth transition to a tablet.
While Microsoft’s most powerful Pro was the Surface Pro 8, the Surface Laptop Studio is currently their most powerful laptop.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio starts at USD1,599.99 (RM6,700.76). But, much like the Surface Pro 8, it is coming in early 2022 with no word yet on how much it will cost in Malaysia.
