Mi TV P1 and Q1 Series Available in Malaysia on 6 June 2021

Xiaomi has just launched a series of smart TVs, just in time for the upcoming Euro Cup 2020 and Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The Mi TV P1 series comes in three different sizes to choose from 32″, 43″ and 55″. Aside from the differences in display size, there are also some differences in specs which we’ll cover shortly.

The Mi TV Q1 on the other hand is the flagship model which features a top of the line QLED display. As for the Q1 series, there will only be a 75″ model available in Malaysia.

Mi TV P1 & Q1 Series – Full Specs

Key Differences of P1 series:

While the 43″ and 55″ are identical in specs aside from the display size, it is important to note that the 32″ model does offer an overall lower spec.

In terms of display, the 32″ model only pushes a lower 1,366 x 768 resolution UHD display. If you are looking for a 4K display, you’ll need to consider the 43″ or 55″ model instead.

Aside from that, the 32″ model are equipped with a pair of 5W Dolby speakers as compared to the 10W speakers found on the latter two models.

From the angle of performance, the 32″ model features only an MSD6683 processor and a Mali 470 GPU with 1.5GB of ram and 8GB of storage as compared to the MediaTek MT9611 processor and Mali G52 GPU with 2GB ram and 8GB storage featured on the 43″ and 55″ models. Nevertheless, the performance will mainly be noticeable only when navigating the Android TV apps.

Key Highlights of the P1 43″ & 55″ Model

Like the majority of Xiaomi’s range of products, the Mi TV P1 series is a strong contender due to its value for money. Starting from only RM1,799, Mi TV P1 43″ owners will be able to enjoy a moderately large 4K display complete with HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision support.

On top of a great display, the Mi TV P1 43″ and 55″ is also hooked up with a more powerful Mediatek 9611 processor and a bigger 16GB storage. This will definitely translate to an overall better user experience when navigating the Android TV apps.

Lastly, another perk of the 43″ and 55″ model is the hands-free Google assistant function that allows users to give instruction directly without the need to rely on the remote control with a built-in mic.

The Mi TV Q1 75″

At a more luxury price point of RM7,999 comes the Mi TV Q1 75″. Like the letter, ‘Q’ in the model name suggests, the Q1 comes complete with a huge bezel-less 4K QLED display.

With the QLED display, the Mi TV Q1 is able to deliver 100% NTSC (typ) and 95% DCI-P3 of the colour gamut spectrum. It is even more capable of producing images that are brighter, more vibrant, and true-to-life.

To complement the large and stunning display are a pair of enhanced 15W speakers. This helps to ensure the sound quality is able to keep up with the stunning visuals to give users an all-around great experience.

Final Thoughts

If you are looking for a value-for-money TV option, definitely do check out the Mi TV P1 series. Xiaomi has done a great job by offering several models at different price points to serve the different market segments.
