MediaTek Unveils Dimensity 9500 SoC, Its “Most Advanced Mobile Platform Yet”

MediaTek has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone chipset, the Dimensity 9500, which the company is calling its “most advanced platform yet.” The new chip aims to bring notable improvements across performance, graphics, power efficiency, and AI capabilities.
One of the key highlights is its new CPU design. The Dimensity 9500 uses a third-generation All Big Core architecture, which includes a powerful 4.21GHz ultra core, three high-performance cores, and four additional performance cores. MediaTek claims this setup delivers up to 32% better single-core performance and 17% better multi-core performance compared to the previous generation. At the same time, it’s also more efficient — using 55% less power during peak performance.

On the graphics side, the chipset comes with the new Arm G1-Ultra GPU, which offers 33% higher peak performance and 42% better power efficiency. This should translate to smoother gaming and better visuals without draining the battery too quickly.
The Dimensity 9500 also features a new Super Efficient NPU (Neural Processing Unit), which is designed to run AI models continuously.
For photography and video, the chipset supports advanced features like RAW-domain image processing, up to 200MP photo capture, continuous autofocus tracking at 30fps, and cinematic 4K portrait video recording at 60fps.

For now, the OPPO Find X9 Series, launching in China on 15 October, will be among the first phones to feature the chipset.
