Maybank to discontinue updates for Maybank2u app; Will be taken off app stores from 30 June 2024

Maybank has released a public notice stating that the bank will cease all updates for the Maybank2u MY app, and that the app will be taken off the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery starting 30 June 2024.

Those still relying on the Maybank2u App will still be able to access the app beyond the given date, but it will no longer be updated come 30 June 2024. The bank strongly encourages Maybank users to shift to the newer MAE app instead, as it has all the functions available on the Maybank2u app with the added benefits of banking and lifestyle features, along with improved security measures.

In view of this, Maybank has warned users not to download any app via .APK files from unofficial sources, as it may compromise their devices and make them vulnerable to malware scams.
