Maxis has announced the expansion of its Maxis eKelas programme through a new 18-month initiative called Menuju Gemilang 2025, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The programme aims to support academically capable students from B40 families in preparing for their SPM exams and creating pathways toward higher education.

A total of 240 Form 4 and Form 5 students from 20 schools across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Sarawak have been selected for the inaugural cohort. Participants were chosen based on academic performance, active involvement in extracurricular activities, and demonstrated leadership qualities.

The programme includes academic support in eight SPM core subjects—Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics, History, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. In addition to regular tutorials, students will also undergo mock exams and attend the SPM Sprint workshop to enhance exam readiness.

Beyond academics, Menuju Gemilang 2025 also provides personal and leadership development training, opportunities for community building, and guidance on how to apply for scholarships. As part of the programme, each student will receive a refurbished laptop for the entire 18-month period, which they may keep upon successful completion of the programme.

This initiative forms part of Maxis’ broader commitment under the Maxis eKelas platform, a digital learning programme designed to uplift students from underserved communities across Malaysia. By strengthening its focus on both academic excellence and personal development, Maxis aims to help bridge the digital and education gap for students most in need.
