On 19 October 2021, Apple unveiled the MacBook Pro 16 and 14, its latest addition to the MacBook Pro line. A month after the reveal, the MacBook Pros are now available for purchase in Malaysia!

Claimed to be the best pro notebook in the world, the new models are powered by Apple’s powerful M1 Pro and M1 Max custom processors that offer top-of-the-class performance and industry-leading power efficiency.

What’s New with the Latest MacBook Pro 16 and 14?

As the name implies, the new MacBook Pro comes in two sizes: 16.2″ and 14.2”. Both models come with the different M1 Pro and the M1 Max chip options with varying CPU and GPU cores.

Furthermore, both M1 Max models allow you to upgrade the RAM up to 64GB for an additional RM1,600. You can also upgrade the SSD up to 8TB for RM9,600.

MacBook Pro 16 Price in Malaysia

In Malaysia, the base M1 Pro model for the Pro 16 starts at RM10,799. The 16-inch model has the chip options of two M1 Max and one M1 Pro.

Further details of the processor options are as below.

  • M1 Max, with a 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD: RM13,999
  • M1 Max, with a 10-core CPU, 24-core GPU, 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD: RM13,199
  • M1 Pro, with a 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD: RM10,799

With maxed-out M1 Max hardware options, the MacBook Pro 16 will cost RM25,199. This option includes a 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 64GB RAM, and 8TB SSD.

MacBook Pro 14 Price in Malaysia

On the other hand, the MacBook Pro 14’s base M1 Pro model starts at RM8,799. The notebook also comes with options for chips: two M1 Max and three M1 Pro. Here is the price for the MacBook Pro 14 in its different configurations.

  • M1 Max, with a 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD: RM13,199
  • M1 Max, with a 10-core CPU, 24-core GPU, 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD: RM12,399
  • M1 Pro, with a 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD: RM9,999
  • M1 Pro, with a 10-core CPU, 14-core GPU, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD: RM9,599

Meanwhile, the max configuration for the MacBook Pro 14 is priced at RM24,399. Similar to the Pro 16, this configuration includes the M1 Max 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 64GB RAM, and 8TB SSD.
