Lenovo’s latest mid-range tablet, the Tab Plus, is set to arrive in Malaysia next month. The current date slated for its arrival is 21st July, with the tablet tagging a RM1,599 starting price. This will fetch you not just the tablet, but also a Tab Pen Plus, a Tab Plus Sleeve, and a Multi-device Wireless Keyboard.

The Lenovo Tab Plus boasts what is perhaps an unorthodox feature on a tablet, that is its array of eight JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos. These eight speakers consist of 4 matrix tweeters and 4 balanced woofers, whose sheer power essentially allows the tablet to double as a Bluetooth speaker.

As a result of this, the tablet does have an add bump on the rear panel, which is where you’ll also find the built-in kickstand which gives 175 degrees of viewing flexibility.

As for performance, the Lenovo Tab Plus runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. This is supported with 8GB of RAM, and a choice of either 128GB or 256GB of storage, with storage expandable via MicroSD card. The tablet if fully dependent on Wi-Fi for connectivity, with no LTE alternative. On that note, it supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2

It sports an 11.5-inch LCD display, offering 2K (2000×1200) resolution as well as 90Hz refresh rates. Elsewhere keeping the tablet running is an 8,600mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging.

It is IP52-rated for dust and water resistance. Lenovo says the tablet will have 2 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates until June 2028.
