Lenovo Legion 5 2021 is now available for pre-orders for RM6,099

April 15, 2021

It’s only been a little over 10 days since Lenovo announced its pre-orders and the Lenovo LEGION 5 Pro is already sold out. That just comes to show how hyped the gaming community is for the new release. But what exactly is the hype all about?

1. Display

Well, for starters, the Legion 5 Pro features the world’s first 16″ QHD 165Hz display. In simpler terms, users will enjoy an overall display that is crisper, brighter and more vibrant in colour.

Though not ideal for all situation, users will also enjoy a 16:10 (2560×1600) display on the Legion 5 Pro. This translates to an increase in overall viewing estate.

Key difference

The Legion 5 display is a 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080) IPS 300nits Anti-glare, 165Hz, 100% sRGB.

2. Performance

The Legion 5 and 5 Pro available for pre-orders both feature the top of the line Ryzen 5000 series processor combined with Nvidia RTX 30 GPU.

With this setup, users will enjoy a far greater gaming experience. The Lenovo Legion 5 2021 and Acer Nitro 5 2021 are among the first laptops launched in Malaysia to feature the Ryzen 5000 processor.

The key differences between the Legion 5 and Legion 5 Pro is the higher resolution QHD display and the slightly better RTX 3070 GPU found on the Legion Pro.

While we do think the RM700 difference is reasonable, it’ll ultimately depend on whether or not you need the higher resolution display and slightly better GPU.

Maybe the Legion 5 Pro being sold out is a good thing after all. There’s no longer a need to ponder and debate!
