Lazada introduces its new AI Chatbot assistant – LazzieChat
Lazada will be among the first major ecommerce company in Asia to integrate an AI Chatbot into their platform. LazzieChat, as it is officially called, is powered by OpenAI ChatGPT technology in Azure OpenAI Service.
According to Lazada, the newly-launched LazzieChat will provide users with a more engaging and personalized shopping experience on the platform. For now, LazzieChat is able to answer users’ shopping queries and even provide shoppers with product links directly in the chat console.
Lazada explains that having LazzieChat is especially useful for fashion and beauty items, which are among the most popular categories on the platform.
On top of that, LazzieChat will be available 24/7, which means assistance can be provided any time of the day.
For now though, LazzieChat is only available in English for Lazada users in Singapore, The Philippines, and Indonesia; although Indonesia will also have a Bahasa Indonesia version.
Given that the Malaysia remains one of Lazada’s key market, we should expect LazzieChat to be launched here eventually.
