Kobo Introduces Remote Control to Minimize Hand Strain for E-Reader Users
Rakuten Kobo today introduced the Kobo Remote, a new device that complements its line of e-readers. The Kobo Remote is the brand’s first-ever remote control that can be used to turn the pages of your Kobo e-reader. It was developed to help users minimize hand strain and fatigue, which often come from holding physical e-readers.
The remote control is compatible with all Kobo Bluetooth-enabled e-readers. These include the Kobo Clara Black and White, Kobo Clara Colour, Kobo Libra Colour, Kobo Sage, and Kobo Elipsa 2E—all of which are available for purchase in Malaysia.
The remote control uses a single replaceable AAA battery, which powers the device for months.
The Kobo Remote retails for RM155 in Malaysia and comes in black or white. It will be available for purchase starting November 4, 2025. Interested buyers can purchase the device in stores or through Rakuten Kobo’s official online platforms on Shopee and Lazada.
