Kingston Expands NVMe Lineup with Compact NV3 2230 SSD Format
Kingston Technology has introduced a new M.2 form factor to its SSD lineup with the launch of the NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2230 SSD. This compact model, measuring 22x30mm, is added alongside the existing 2280 version and is designed for storage expansion in devices with limited space.
The NV3 2230 SSD is a single-sided drive powered by a Gen 4×4 NVMe controller and offers read speeds of up to 6,000MB/s and write speeds up to 5,000MB/s, depending on the capacity. It is available in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB versions.
Kingston stated the drive is aimed at users looking for a high-speed, low-power upgrade for compatible laptops and handheld gaming consoles. The NV3 2230 also comes with one year of Acronis True Image for Kingston software and supports Kingston’s SSD Manager app.
