Easy Air Fryer Cake Recipe 2022

    By Editor April 10, 2022

Yes, you read that right! You can bake a deliciously sweet dessert by only using an air fryer. Here, we’ll tell you the secret of our extra easy air fryer cake recipe, so you can whip up a perfect cake in no time.

For this air fryer cake recipe, you can choose to use a store-bought cake mix or make your own batter for that authentic homemade taste. Having said that, we guarantee this air fryer cake recipe will turn out amazing either way!

Without further ado, let’s get started!

    Things You’ll Need

    1. Cake batter (your favourite store-bought or homemade batter)
    2. Air fryer
    3. Cake pan (ensure that the cake pan fits the air fryer)

How to Make An Easy Air Fryer Cake Recipe

    1) Make Your Batter

First and foremost, follow the recipe for your cake of choice. If you’re using a cake mix, then simply follow the instructions available on the box. Some of the common ingredients needed are eggs, milk, and flour.

    2) Prep the Pan

Next, prepare your cake pan by adding shortening and flour all around on the inside. Make sure that the flour coats the shortening thoroughly. For peace of mind, line your pan with parchment paper to mitigate the risk of your cake sticking to the bottom.

    3) Dump the Batter into the Pan

Then, pour the batter into the pan until the mixture is a little over half full. Remember to not overfill as it’ll increase your baking time and can even result in a raw cake with an overbaked bottom. Instead, save your leftover batter for the next batch or make cupcakes with it!

    4) Time to Air Fry

Set your air fryer to 175°C for 20 minutes and place your cake pan inside the air fryer. Once the timer is off, slide the basket open and do the toothpick test. If the toothpick comes out clean, then your cake is done. If not, cook the cake for a few more minutes.

    5) Let Cool Completely

Remove your cake from the air fryer and let it cool for about 10 minutes. After that, flip the cake over and remove the cake. Discard the parchment paper and allow the cake to cool completely.

    6) Decorate and Serve!

Now comes the fun part—decorate your cake with your preferred toppings. You can top your cake with frosting, sprinkles, fresh fruits or chocolate ganache. After all, the possibilities are endless!

You can choose to refrigerate or serve your cake immediately. You can also freeze your unfrosted cake by wrapping it in plastic wrap.
