iQOO Z9 Series now up for pre-order; Exclusive promos see prices drop to RM611
iQOO Malaysia has official put up its upcoming Z9 Series for pre-orders, with exclusive promotions and discounts to follow suit.
We don’t yet have the official pricing for the devices, but according to iQOO, the Z9 5G and Z9x 5G will retail above the RM2,000 mark. The iQOO Z9 Series is slated to launch on 9th May, so we’ll have to wait till then for the official pricing.
With that being said, iQOO will run its early access promotion which will see prices reduced to less than RM700 via online platform vouchers.
This, however, is limited to the first 1,000 customers who purchase the Z9 Series via the iQOO official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok; and will run only from 25th April to 8th May 2024.

iQOO Z9 Specs
The iQOO Z9 5G is the leading model in the series, succeeding the iQOO Z7 5G which was released last year. The Z7 5G was a solid device, as we found out in our review, but iQOO will be hoping the Z9 5G will perform better with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.
For displays, the Z9 5G will sport a 1.5K AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rates. There’s a massive 6,000mAh battery keeping things running, as well as support for 80W wired charging.
At the rear panels you’ll find a dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX882 camera, and a 2MP bokeh camera. Where else the front keeps to a 16MP selfie shooter.
iQOO Z9x specs
As for the Z9x 5G, this model will run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. Screens are little more toned-down compared to its sibling, but still commendable at 120Hz refresh rates.
The Z9x 5G maintains the 6,000mAh battery, albeit with less quick wired charging speed of 44W. Cameras, although still equipped with a 50MP main and 2MP bokeh camera, loses out on the Sony IMX882 sensor. The front camera has also been cut down to 8MP.
