Interested buyers can make their purchase on iQOO online channels, including the brand’s official store on Shopee and Lazada. Alternatively, you can also purchase the Z9 Series on vivo’s official E-store.
As part of its launch promo, early purchases of the iQOO Z9 5G will come with free gifts worth RM168, including an iQOO backpack, 1 year screen crack protection, and vivo TWS 3e (RM99 PWP). As for the Z9x 5G, this will again come with 1 year screen protection and vivo TWS 3e, with the addition of iQOO stickers and a PINERGY powerbank.
The iQOO Z9 Series will play successor to the Z7 Series released last year. Essentially, the Z9 5G and Z9x 5G is a direct step up from the Z7 5G and Z7x 5G.
There’s a few changes in the mix, starting first with the Z9 5G, this model now sports a similar Porthole Design camera module seen on the flagship iQOO 12, which is a pretty big facelift compared to the square design on the Z7.
In regards to performance, the Z9 5G now runs on an upgraded Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. This is paired together with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For displays, the Z9 5G is fitted with a 6.78″ AMOLED screen, offering Full HD resolution and 4,500nits peak brightness.
This phone is marketed as a gaming device, and helping with that is its 144Hz maximum refresh rate, plus a 6043mm2 vapour chamber for cooling.
Moreover, the primary rear camera has gotten an upgrade from its predecessor. It’s been mellowed to a 50MP shooter, but this time backed by the Sony IMX882 sensor, which was absent on the Z7 5G. Alongside the main camera is a 2MP bokeh lens. Elsewhere at the front, you’ll find a 16MP selfie shooter in punch-hole format.
Keeping things running is a 6,000mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging.
The iQOO Z7 5G is available in Breeze Green and Phantom Black.
Now onto the iQOO Z9x, this model is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. It comes with three memory-storage configurations: an 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB variant.
The Z9x misses out on an AMOLED display, instead sporting a 6.72″ LCD screen. It maintains the Full HD resolution, but refresh rates is now capped at 120Hz, and peak brightness at 1,000nits.
Rear cameras, on the other hand, maintains its 50MP main lens and 2MP bokeh lens, but the former loses out on the Sony sensors. As for the front camera, that has been toned down to 8MP.
You’ll still have that massive 6,000mAh keeping everything running, albeit at a slashed down charging speed of 44W.
The iQOO Z9x 5G comes in Northern Green, or Mystic Black.
