iQOO Z7 Series Targeted To Young Gen Malaysians Now Available; price starts at RM999

iQOO has just released the Z7 Series designed to cater to the innovative taste of young Malaysians. The dual line-up consists of the Z7 5G and Z7x 5G.

Rolling with the slogan ‘Born for Gen Z’, iQOO hopes the Z7 Series will strike a chord with the fast-paced and ever-growing demands of the youth.

The Z7 Series is ultimately a mid-ranger, but do have some features that share the stage with some of today’s flagship models.

Pricing Details

If you want to see what the Z7 Series can offer, you can place your pre-orders today. The iQOO Z7 (12+256GB) is priced at RM1,499, while the 8GB+128GB version will go for RM1,299.

The iQOO Z7x (8+256GB) version is priced at RM1,099, while the 8GB+128GB can be yours for only RM999.

iQOO is currently having an early bird promo from now until the 18th of April. During the promo period, you can have the iQOO Z7 5G (12GB+256GB) for RM1,399, and the iQOO Z7 5G (8GB+128GB) for RM1,249.

You will also see a price reduction for the Z7x, where you can get the iQOO Z7x 5G (8GB+256GB) for RM999, and the iQOO Z7x 5G (8GB+128GB) for RM939.

All early bird orders for either phones are entitled to free gifts worth up to RM498, including a 1 year extended warranty and 1 year screen crack protection.

iQOO Z7 5G specs

The iQOO Z7 is the smartphone with the broadly marketed 120W fast charging. According to iQOO, this will give you 100% in just under half an hour. In addition to that, a long battery lifespan equivalent to a 5,000mAh battery will see at least 6 hours of non-stop gaming.

Powering the Z7 is a Snapdragon 782G processor. For memory, you’ll have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. To give you greater performance, you’ll have an additional 8GB of RAM extension thanks to Extended RAM 3.0 technology. Hence, taking into account everything, you’ll have 20GB (12GB+8GB Extended) RAM and 256GB of storage on the iQOO Z7.

Keeping things cool is an ultra large vapor chamber with a 10-layer liquid cooling system. Whether for intense gaming or heavy work loads, you’ll be set to go long hours without overheating.

The iQOO Z7 5G has a 6.64-inch display with a 7-level adaptive refresh rate that goes up to 120Hz.

For photos, you’ll have a 64MP main rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), alongside a 2MP depth camera. In front, you’ll find a centred punch hole 16MP camera.

Other than that, the iQOO Z7 5G has dual stereo speakers and 4D gaming vibration for haptics. It also supports Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The IQOO Z7 5G comes in Matrix Blue or Metallic Grey.

iQOO Z7x 5G Specs

Onto the iQOO Z7x 5G, this is a slightly toned down version of the Z7 5G. Despite that, fast charging is still very solid at 80W, and a 6,000mAh battery all but guarantees a full days usage. In fact, according to iQOO, the Z7x will provide 7 hours of gaming, a full 1 hour more than the Z7.

The Z7x comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Unlike the Z7, storage is expandable up to 1TB via a SD card. Furthermore, you’ll have an 8GB of extended RAM on top of the original 8GB, giving you the option to boost your RAM up to 16GB (8GB+8GB) total. The Z7x is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G processor.

The Z7 and Z7x shares the same 6.64-inch display with a 120Hz 7-level adaptive refresh rate. They also share a similar cooling system, utilizing a 5-layer cooling liquid cooling system (instead of 7 layers on the Z7).

Cameras pixels are also slightly lesser with a 50MP main camera, but maintains a 2MP depth camera in the rear. At the front, also in a centred punch hole format, is an 8MP selfie camera.

The Z7x misses out on the dual stereo speakers, but does have 4D game vibration.

For colour choices, you can decide between Tropical Blue or Metallic Grey.
