If you’ve got your eyes on the newly launched iPhone 16e, Yes 5G is offering the device when paired with eligible Infinite+ postpaid plans. However, the telco is only offering the 128GB and 256GB models of the iPhone 16e.

Customers can pair the device with either the Infinite+ Basic 58, Standard 88, Premium 118, or Ultra 178 postpaid plans, each available with a choice of a 24- or 36-month contract.

The most enticing offer is undoubtedly the 36-month Ultra 178 plan, which includes the iPhone 16e (128GB) for free. Of course, you’ll still need to commit to the RM178 monthly telco bill. It’s also worth noting that with the same plan, you can upgrade to the 256GB model by topping up just RM4/month.

All Yes Infinite+ postpaid plans offer uncapped 5G+4G data and speed, along with unlimited calls and free unlimited 5G roaming in Singapore. The key difference between each plan lies in the allocated hotspot quota.

The Infinite+ Basic 58 plan includes 20GB of hotspot data, while the Standard 88 plan provides 50GB. Meanwhile, the Premium 118 and Ultra 178 plans come with 80GB and 100GB hotspot allocation, respectively.

By Timothy Teoh February 24, 2025

With 2024 officially wrapped up, you might be wondering which smartphone brands ended the year on a high – and which ones fell off the charts. Canalys, a global market research firm, has crunched the numbers to reveal the top five leading smartphone vendors in Malaysia for 2024.

According to the research firm, Xiaomi secured the top spot on the podium after achieving a 16% unit share in sell-in shipments, while also recording a 2% year-on-year growth compared to the previous year.

Coming in second place is Samsung, with a 14% unit share in sell-in shipments. However, the Korean giant experienced a decline in annual smartphone growth, recording a 12% drop in 2024. vivo and OPPO secured third and fourth place, with 13% and 12% unit shares respectively.

Occupying fifth place is TRANSSION, a name that might ring unfamiliar to some. The company owns a portfolio of smartphone brands, including Infinix and Tecno, which together accumulated an 11% unit share.

In Malaysia, Xiaomi leads the market with two primary smartphone lines: the Xiaomi and Redmi series. The Xiaomi lineup caters to premium flagship devices, including the Xiaomi 14, 14 Ultra, 14T, and 14T Pro. Last year, the brand also made a commendable attempt at its first-ever clam shell flip phone, the MIX Flip.

Meanwhile, the Redmi lineup focuses on price-friendly devices, with the Redmi Note 13 Series leading the charge in 2024.
