The long-awaited Apple Wanderlust Event 2023 took place in the wee hours of this morning, with Apple finally unveiling the iPhone 15 series.

There’s been no changes in terms of naming conventions, with Apple announcing the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, as well as the Pro and Pro Max variants.

But first, let’s get a brief rundown of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus Specs

Apple has brought over the A16 Bionic Chip – previously only available on the 14 Pro variants – to the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. In the same nature it also inherits Dynamic Island – which means all iPhone 15 models in the series now have Dynamic Island functions.

A big change in terms of design as Apple moves away from the glossy glass back and into a new era of textured matte finishing. Shape wise, it maintains the rounded edges.

The iPhone 15 comes with a Super Retina XDR display. It now also sports the brightest ever display on an iPhone with 2,000nits peak brightness. Onto size, the iPhone 15 has a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Plus has a 6.7-inch display.

The iPhone 15 main camera now packs 48MP, plus a host of improvements in computational photography and in Photonic Engine. The gist of it – perfectly balanced light and greater detail in your photos.

Users now also get 2x telephoto option via the main camera for added versatility. It also retains the 12MP ultra-wide camera.

One very neat feature Apple introduced to the iPhone 15 is Focus and Depth Control. This allows users to switch focus after the photo has been taken, giving greater control in post-editing.

The iPhone 15 comes in five colour choices: Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and Black.

And yes, the switch to USB-C is official, which now allows users to not just charge the iPhone, but also the Mac, iPad, and AirPods Pro with the same cable.

Price of iPhone 15 in Malaysia

As stated in the Apple Malaysia website, pre-orders for the iPhone 15 starts from 22nd September. It will be available from 29th September onwards.
