Infinix launches first-ever flip phone – the ZERO Flip – in Malaysia at RM2,999

October 4, 2024

It’s a year of first-evers for Infinix, who has just launched their first-ever flip phone – the Zero FLIP – in Malaysia. This comes only about two weeks after they unveiled the XPAD 4G, which is, as you might have guessed, the brand’s first ever tablet series.

Coincidentally, this announcement comes not too far off from when Xiaomi announced the MIX Flip too.

But back to the ZERO Flip, Infinix’s flip phone debut seems to cater to the vlogging audience, with plenty of marketing surrounding the 30-degree to 150-degree hinge allowing for digital video-like handling.

There’s also GoPro connectivity, which among other features, allows you to have real-time observation and adjustment of GoPro footage.

On the topic of cameras, the rear shooters consist of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide. You’ll also get a selfie camera with autofocus.

The ZERO Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, coming in a single 16GB+512GB configuration. The external display sports a 3.64″ AMOLED screen, and the phone opens up to reveal a 6.9″ AMOLED LTPO internal display. Infinix says the hinges are able to withstand up to 400,000 folds.

In terms of batteries, the ZERO Flip packs a 4,720mAh battery with support for 70W wired charging.

A worthwhile mention is that the phone is integrated with Google Gemini, which gives access to AI features such as translation and content summarization.

The Infinix ZERO Flip retails at RM2,999 in Malaysia, and is available immediately at Infinix authorized dealers. Alternatively, it can also be purchased at Infinix’s official online store on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.
