Your First Look at HUAWEI’s All-New WATCH GT 6 Series and WATCH Ultimate 2
Following its recent global launch in Paris, HUAWEI Malaysia has announced that two of its next-generation wearables – the WATCH GT 6 Series and WATCH Ultimate 2 – will make their debut in Malaysia on September 29.
HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series
The WATCH GT 6 Series consists of two models: the base GT 6, available in 46mm and 41mm sizes, and the GT 6 Pro, which comes in a single 46mm size. HUAWEI claims the GT 6 (46mm) and GT 6 Pro offer battery life of up to 21 days, while the smaller GT 6 (41mm) lasts up to 14 days.
The Pro model is visibly more robust, crafted with a titanium alloy body and sapphire glass for added sturdiness. Sports mode-wise, this model includes upgraded modes for trail running, golf, skiing, and freediving – allowing dives down to depths of up to 40 metres.
For enhanced positioning accuracy, the GT 6 Series features HUAWEI’s Sunflower Positioning System, while its new TruSense system offers deeper emotional detection, more detailed health analytics, and cardiovascular monitoring.
Those interested can pay a deposit of RM50 and be among the first to order the WATCH GT 6 Series in Malaysia. Early birds will receive free gifts worth up to RM446, including the FreeBuds 6i and 3 months of HUAWEI Health+ membership.
HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2
Next up, the WATCH Ultimate 2 is essentially HUAWEI’s answer to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra. It’s an adventurer’s watch through and through, with HUAWEI claiming it to be the first smartwatch certified for 150-metre diving – outdoing both the Apple and Samsung offerings.
Moreover, the watch utilizes sonar-based underwater communication, allowing dive buddies within 30 metres to send signals to one another without the need for additional equipment. In case of emergencies, an SOS feature can be activated to alert other divers within a range of 60 metres.
Above ground, the WATCH Ultimate 2’s Golf Mode supports 17,000 golf course maps, providing key details such as slope-adjusted distances, trajectory replays, and a zoom function.
The WATCH Ultimate 2 stands out with its dual-colour nanocrystal ceramic bezel and zirconium-based liquid metal body, offering a refined finish and superior durability. It also boasts advanced trail running capabilities with offline maps, route-back navigation, and SOS calls.
Like the Watch 5, the WATCH Ultimate 2 also features the X-TAP fingertip sensor, which provides insights across key health metrics such as ECG and blood oxygen levels.
Malaysians can be among the first to experience the HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 by placing a RM50 deposit. Those who pre-order will receive free gifts worth up to RM1,305 – including the FreeClip 2, 2 years of HUAWEI Care+, and 3 months of HUAWEI Health+ membership.
