New HUAWEI Watch D2 offers Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM); Priced at RM1,999

November 19, 2024

It hasn’t been too long since HUAWEI launched their spruced up GT Series in Malaysia. Now, they’ve expanded their wearable lineup with the Watch D2, drawing focus onto the watch’s blood pressure monitoring feature.

According to HUAWEI, the Watch D2 is the first smartwatch in the world to have Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM). To keep it simple, ABPM is a method of recording blood pressure at intervals across a 24-hour period to get a more accurate picture of one’s blood pressure. It is one way to keep tabs of possible signs of hypertension that may prove to be harmful.

The Watch D2’s ABPM works through a variety of features, including a high-precision sensor, a mini pump, and an inflatable airbag positioned in the lining of the straps. These put together will monitor your blood pressure across a 24-hour period at intervals, including when you sleep.

To remove any doubts of its legitimacy, HUAWEI says the Watch D2 has been approved by the Malaysian Medical Device Authority, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), and Medical Device Regulation.

ABPM aside, the Watch D2 also boasts beat-by-beat ECG Analysis and Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis, along with the standard heart rate monitoring, stress tracking, and sleep tracking.

The Watch D2 has 80 exercise modes, with details displayed across the 1.82″ display.

Available in Black and Gold, the HUAWEI Watch D2 retails in Malaysia at RM1,999. Pre-orders starts from 19 – 29 November 2024, during which early buyers are entitled to free gifts worth up to RM1,276. These include the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2, HUAWEI Scale 3, and HUAWEI Watch D2 strap, alongside 1+1 warranty, and accidental damage protection.

Interested buyers can purchase the watch on HUAWEI’s official website, or on HUAWEI’s official platforms on Shopee and Lazada.
