HUAWEI Pura 80 Series Arrive with Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera

HUAWEI has officially launched its Pura 80 Series in Malaysia, consisting of the Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra. Both models are powered by the Kirin 9020 processor and feature a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2848×1276, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. The Pro model comes with second-generation Kunlun Glass, while the Ultra version uses Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass for added durability.

Camera hardware is where the two models differ more noticeably. The Pura 80 Pro carries a 50MP 1-inch main sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP macro telephoto camera. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, the Pura 80 Ultra also features a 50MP 1-inch sensor but supports HDR and is paired with a 40MP ultra-wide lens. The standout feature is its Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera system, which combines a 50MP 3.7x telephoto and a 12.5MP 9.4x telephoto lens in a single optical structure. This setup aims to improve zoom performance without the need for separate modules.

Both phones share a 5,170mAh battery and support 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. They are also rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance. In terms of design, the Pura 80 Pro is available in Glazed Red Ultra, Glazed White, and Glazed Black, while the Pura 80 Ultra comes in Prestige Gold and Golden Black.

The HUAWEI Pura 80 Pro (12GB/512GB) and Pura 80 Ultra (16GB/512GB) retails at RM4,599 and RM6,599 respectively. The phones are now available for pre-order at HUAWEI Experience Stores, the official HUAWEI website, as well as HUAWEI’s official platforms on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.

As part of HUAWEI’s 2025 Sales Start Campaign running from 2 August to 31 December, customers who purchase any model from the Pura 80 Series will be eligible for exclusive prizes worth up to RM2,978, offered on a first-come, first-served basis at all participating stores and official online platforms.
