Huawei nova 9 Full Review: Should You Buy It?
Huawei has gone through a lot to survive in the market, but it’s still producing new quality smartphones. A big downside to owning a Huawei phone is its lack of Google services. Reviews show that the company’s App Gallery is incomparable with the extensive choices served by Google. However, there is still much to love about the newly released Huawei nova 9.

Design and Display
Huawei nova 9 is available in three stunning colours: Starry Blue, Crush Green, and Black. Its curved edges produce comfort for hold. Unfortunately, the screen is not built with Gorilla Glass, so it’s not as solid as other phones.
The Huawei nova 9 screen size of 6.57” contains a remarkable 1.07 billion colours with 2340×1080 pixels. Its OLED screen is impressive in bringing out the colours, and the 120Hz refresh rate ensures a smooth run.
Cameras
The Huawei nova 9 quad rear cameras house an exceptional 50MP ultra vision main camera, with 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth lens, and 2MP macro lens. The high-res 32MP front camera takes super-clear selfies.
The claims made on their official site are: Huawei nova 9 equips a built-in AI enhancement algorithm that produces clear shots due to its high pixels. The Huawei nova 9 motion detection technology captures the right moments at the right time, making certain clear shots.
Regrettably, the photo results depend highly on how one handles the camera while taking pictures, even with the high MP. Too much shaking and low light can tremendously ruin the photos.
Performance
The average-quality Snapdragon 778G chip powers the Huawei nova 9. It runs with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. It might not be the most dynamic phone, but it works relatively well. Less lagging when multi-apps are operating and can reasonably handle mobile games. Even so, the phone is 4G only as Huawei can’t purchase 5G chipsets.
Battery Life
The Huawei nova 9’s 4,300mAh battery is powerful enough to operate the phone for a whole day (with light use, of course). In addition, it supports 66W fast charging.
Price
With its mid-range compartments and software, the Huawei nova 9 can be considered one of the affordable phones on the current market. You can get it from as low as RM1,999.
Is Huawei nova 9 Worth It?
Sharp display, spectacular 50MP primary camera, long-lasting battery, and smooth run. Besides the absence of Google software, there is a lot Huawei nova 9 has to offer. At an affordable price of RM1,999, it’s a phone worth considering.
