HUAWEI nova 13 series launches in Malaysia with RM1,799 starting price
HUAWEI’s refreshed nova series line-up is officially here after the launch of the nova 13 and nova 13 Pro. The phones were launched alongside the flagship foldable Mate X6 and the brand’s latest FreeBuds Pro 4 true wireless.
The nova 13 series dons a subtle new look, most noticeably with the camera modules and the new rear panels – or what HUAWEI calls the Dynamic Plaid Texture design.
You can tell the nova 13 and nova 13 Pro apart from the displays. The base nova 13 sports a flat-edged 6.7″ display, while its Pro sibling has a slightly larger 6.76″ display with rounded corners. Both utilizes OLED panels offering FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rates. However, only the Pro model has the benefit of variable refresh rates ranging from 1-120Hz.
There’s also a slight difference in the camera modules with the nova 13 Pro sporting a more oblong-shaped housing with dark base plates. On that note, the Pro model comes with a triple camera array consisting of a 50MP OIS camera, a 12MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide.
At the front, you’ll find two selfie cameras: a 60MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP portrait lens.
As for the nova 13, this model compromises with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide at the rear, and a single 60MP selfie shooter at the front.
Differences aside, the nova 13 series model shares the same 5,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging. They each also have support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2
HUAWEI nova 13 series price in Malaysia
The nova 13 Series are now available for pre-orders until 10th January 2025. Here are the official prices in Malaysia:
- HUAWEI nova 13 (12GB+256GB) – RM1,799
- HUAWEI nova 13 Pro (12GB+512GB) – RM2,399
As part of the pre-order promo, early orders for the nova 13 and nova 13 Pro will come with a free pair of HUAWEI FreeBuds 5i. The phones can be pre-ordered on HUAWEI’s official website; or on HUAWEI’s official platforms on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
