HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ S PaperMatte Edition launches in Malaysia for RM2,499
HUAWEI tablets are out in full swing this year, and latest to its catalogue is the MatePad 11.5″ S PaperMatte Edition. As its name indicates, what makes this tablet unique is its matte-textured display designed to replicate that of paper.
On the visual side of things, the MatePad 11.5″ S offers 2.8K resolution with P3 colour gamut, along with adaptive refresh rates from 30Hz to 144Hz. To avoid glare, HUAWEI has employed the use of Nanoscale Anti-glare Etching Technology, thereby reducing the annoyance of reflective ambient light considerably.
To further beef up credibility, the displays on the MatePad 11.5″ S have received a host of eye-care certifications, including TÜV Rheinland Reflection-Free Certification, Low Blue Light Certification, and Flicker-Free Certification.
Displays aside, the tablet comes with a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It relies primarily on Wi-Fi for connectivity, with no LTE models as an alternative. It’s a pretty slim tablet, with a 6.2mm thickness and weighs only 510g. Nevertheless, it manages to fit an 8,800mAh battery to keep things running.
You can further enhance the MatePad experience with additional accessories, such as the M-Pencil (3rd Gen), which can be magnetically attached to the top panel of the display, as well as the detachable Smart Magnetic Keyboard. These aren’t included of of the box though, and are sold separately at a price of RM699 and RM599 respectively.
The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5″ S PaperMatte Edition will officially retail at RM2,499. There will be a pre-order promotion from the 18th to 28th June 2024 where early birds can attain free gifts worth up to RM2,046. This includes the aforementioned M-Pencil (3rd Gen) and Smart Magnetic Keyboard, along with the HUAWEI FreeBuds 5i, HUAWEI Mouse, and RM200 exclusive trade-in rebate or voucher.
