HUAWEI Mate X6 unveiled; Now available for pre-orders in Malaysia
Malaysians eyeing new foldables now have a new option to mull over after the unveiling of the HUAWEI Mate X6.
This flagship device offers a fairly slim form factor with a thickness of 9.85mm or 9.9mm, depending on whether you go for the vegan fiber or vegan leather design. When unfolded, the phone measures just 4.6mm.
The Mate X6 features OLED LTPO displays on both the internal and external screen. The external display is 6.45 inches with a resolution of 2440×1080 and supports a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. The internal display, on the other hand, unfolds to reveal a larger 7.93-inch screen with a resolution of 2440×2240 and the same dynamic refresh rate capabilities.
For photography, the Mate X6 is equipped with a camera setup consisting of a 50MP Ultra Aperture main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48MP telephoto lens offering 4x optical zoom, a 40MP ultra-wide lens, and a 1.5M Ultra Chroma Camera.
Powering the Mate X6 is a 5,110mAh battery, which supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. As for connectivity, the phone supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
The HUAWEI Mate X6 is available in three color options: Nebula Red, Nebula Grey, and Black, with premium finishes in vegan fiber and vegan leather.

The HUAWEI Mate X6 will come with only a single 12GB+512GB configuration that is priced at RM8,688 in Malaysia.
Pre-orders for the phone are open from 18th December 2024 to 10th January 2025. Customers who pre-order will receive free gifts, including the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate and one-year screen protection. Additional trade-in rebates of up to RM2,000 are available for selected HUAWEI smartphones.
The Mate X6 can be pre-ordered through HUAWEI Experience Stores or online via HUAWEI’s official website, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
