HUAWEI Upgrades Smartwatch Fitness Experience with GT 6 Series Launch
HUAWEI has introduced its latest smartwatch lineup in Malaysia with the launch of the Watch GT 6 Series, offering a mix of fitness tracking, health monitoring, and smart features. The Watch GT 6 is available in two sizes—46mm and 41mm—with battery life of up to 21 days for the larger model under light usage, and up to 14 days for the 41mm variant during typical use.
Both models feature an AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, aimed at ensuring better visibility outdoors. HUAWEI has also introduced its upgraded Sunflower positioning system, which it claims improves location tracking accuracy by 20% over its predecessor. This enhances route and distance tracking, particularly during workouts.
For sports and fitness, the GT 6 supports over 100 activity modes. A key new feature is cycling virtual power, which estimates riding intensity. HUAWEI says this was developed based on thousands of simulations conducted in its wind tunnel lab. There’s also a new Running Form Analysis that provides data such as vertical oscillation and ground contact time to help improve running technique.
Health-focused features include continuous sleep tracking with heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring, cardiovascular health tracking, and an upgraded emotional wellbeing detection system. The GT 6 also now supports Touch ‘n Go eWallet payments via QR code scanning, allowing contactless transactions directly from the watch.
The Watch GT 6 Pro offers several premium upgrades over the standard GT 6. It maintains the same AMOLED display but with bezels that are slimmer and a screen that’s 5.5% larger than the previous generation. The body is made from titanium alloy with a nanocrystal ceramic rear, and is available in three strap options: titanium, brown composite woven, and black fluoroelastomer.
It supports up to 21 days of battery life and introduces professional-grade features for trail running, golf, and freediving. The watch supports freediving up to 40 metres and carries EN13319 water resistance certification, which is compatible with PADI, SSI, and AIDA diving standards. Runners can benefit from altitude measurement, distance estimation, and pace correction, while golf enthusiasts can access 17,000 zoomable global course maps.
Another addition to the Pro model is ECG functionality, enabling users to take ECG readings directly from the watch.
HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series price in Malaysia
The HUAWEI Watch GT 6 Series is now officially available in Malaysia. Both the 46mm and 41mm models with black and purple strap are priced at RM999, while models in green, grey, and white are priced at RM1,099.
As for the GT 6 Pro, this model comes in a single 46mm variant. Models with the black fluoroelastomer and brown composite woven straps are priced at RM1,299, while the model with titanium strap retails at RM1,999.

At launch, customers will receive free gifts worth up to RM446, including a pair of FreeBuds 6i and a three-month subscription to HUAWEI Health+.
