HUAWEI debuts new open-ear style headphones with FreeArc

By Timothy Teoh February 18, 2025

It’s an event full of firsts in HUAWEI’s latest innovative product launch. Not only did they launch the world’s first-ever tri-folding smartphone, but the brand also unveiled its new open-ear-style headphones, the FreeArc.

Compared to the existing FreeClip earphones, the FreeArc features a design more typical of sports-focused open-ear headphones. That said, they do share a similarity.

HUAWEI says it borrowed the C-bridge hook concept from the FreeClip and integrated it into the FreeArc. However, the FreeArc’s hooks are structured with 0.7mm Nickel-Titanium (Ni-Ti) memory alloy and layered with skin-friendly liquid silicone to maximize comfort.

Powering audio quality is the 17 x 12 mm highly-sensitive driver unit in each earbud, symmetrical acoustic structure, dynamic bass algorithm, and Adaptive Equal-loudness Algorithm, all of which aims to enhance audio performance.

The FreeArc has an IP57 water resistance rating, making it more than capable of handling sweaty workouts and light drizzles.

In terms of battery life, HUAWEI claims the headphones will last up to 7 hours on a single charge, with a total of 28 hours when using the charging case.

The HUAWEI FreeArc is available in Black, Green, and Grey.

HUAWEI FreeArc price in Malaysia

The HUAWEI FreeArc is priced at RM599 in Malaysia. Pre-orders will run from now until 24 March, with exclusive freebies worth RM327. Freebies include the HUAWEI Band 8, a 1+1 year warranty, and 2 year loss care.
