HP’s EliteBook X G2 series will apparently let you pick between Intel, AMD or Qualcomm

CES 2026 won’t be happening, but that hasn’t stopped some from leaking out upcoming products due to debut at the trade show. This time round, it’s HP whose lineup has appeared online prior to CES kicking off, with one pretty interesting laptop set to appear.

The HP EliteBook X is the American giant’s premium business-class laptop, rivalling the likes of Lenovo’s ThinkPad as well as ASUS ExpertBook and Zenbook S. It’s current generation is available in Intel- and AMD-flavoured options, and boasts your usual business-forward features like enterprise-grade security and AI tools.

However, it seems that HP is set to add a third option to the upcoming HP EliteBook X lineup. Due to be revealed at CES 2026 are the upcoming HP EliteBook X G2 generation of laptops, which will now feature AMD Ryzen AI 400 series processors, Intel Panther Lake processors and Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 series processors. Physically, there’s nothing separating the three options from each other, so it seems that it’s likely only the processors that will be the differentiating factor here.

On top of that, other reported products from HP debuting at CES 2026 include a slew of OmniBook options. These include higher end OmniBook Ultra options with Snapdragon options, new midrange OmniBook 5 laptops and OmniBook 3 laptops for the everyday user.
