How To Buy My50 Unlimited Pass on TNG eWallet: A Step-By-Step Guide
Starting July 1, 2025, commuters will be able to purchase and activate Rapid KL’s My50 Unlimited Travel Pass directly through the TNG eWallet app. This eliminates the need to queue at service counters, a move that Prasarana Malaysia Berhad’s CEO, Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah, says will benefit the 250,000 current users of the My50 Pass.

There are a few prerequisites to meet before users can purchase the My50 Pass on the TNG eWallet. First and foremost, they will need to ensure that their phones support Near Field Communication (NFC) and that it is enabled. One way to check if your phone has NFC is to go to your phone’s settings and search for the NFC function. If your phone has a search bar, you can simply type ‘NFC’ and see if anything appears.
The reason NFC is needed is because the My50 Pass will be linked to your Enhanced Touch ‘n Go Card and not your IC, which leads to the second requirement – you must have an Enhanced TNG Card ready. You can purchase this at Touch ‘n Go’s official online platfroms on Shopee and Lazada.
Fun Fact: According to Rapid KL’s Facebook admin, you can also link the My50 Pass to TNG Charms!
Once you have those checked, the final requirement is to complete eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) verification on your Touch ‘n Go app. If you are unsure whether or not you are verified, launch the TnG app and tap the profile icon on the top right of the page. Those who are verified will have the ‘Verified’ badge on top of your name. If not, proceed to complete the eKYC verification.
How to Buy My50 Unlimited Pass on TNG eWallet
Fulfilled all the pre-requisites? Great! Let’s get started. To buy and activate the My50 Unlimited Pass on TNG eWallet:
1) Find the “Recommended” section and tap on ‘More’.
2) Next, look for the ‘Travel Pass’ option and tap it. You will need to confirm the authorization by tapping ‘Agree’.
3) Tap ‘Select and link an Enhanced TNG Card’, then choose the Enhanced TNG Card you want to link the My50 Pass to. (Non-Enhanced TNG Cards will be grayed out and unselectable.)
4) Once you’ve selected the card, tap the card at the back of your mobile, as per the instructions.
5) After successfully linking, choose your pass start date and press ‘Confirm’. (You don’t need to set the end date, as it will automatically be set to 30 days from your chosen start date.)
6) Then, select ‘Pay’ to confirm your purchase of the My50 Unlimited Pass. You will be paying directly from your TNG eWallet, so do ensure you have sufficient funds to make the payment
7) To activate the pass, tap the card behind your phone again to link the My50 Pass to the Enhanced TNG Card.

8) You will then receive a payment notification, and your My50 Pass will be ready to use.

Once you have successfully purchased and activated your My50 Unlimited Pass, you will now have the benefit of unlimited rides on Rapid KL services, including LRT, MRT, Monorail, BRT, Rapid KL buses, and MRT feeder buses for the next 30 days!
