How much value are you really getting from your prepaid plan? Tune Talk will now show you

By Raymond Saw February 27, 2026

Tune Talk has announced that they’ll be repositioning its suite of prepaid plans as they want to shift away from the traditional idea of ‘GB-per-ringgit’. Instead, the telco will now be showing just how much value you’re getting from its plans, as they aim to deliver benefits that exceed the price their users are paying.

According to Tune Talk, the local prepaid segment has been about headline monthly data quota numbers for too long. And while they themselves already offer a very solid lineup of prepaid plans with healthy data quotas for the price, they are now reframing it as a value bundle rather than just about the data quota.

As part of this move, Tune Talk is now explicitly showcasing just how much value you’re getting from your prepaid plan, with a new breakdown of their EPIK+ plans:

EPIK+ 35

  • RM35 monthly fee
  • 150GB all-day Ultra-Fast 5G
  • Uncapped speeds up to 900Mbps (NO FUP)
  • Unlimited calls & hotspot
  • Exclusive Games & Dramas Access (RM30)
  • Personal Accident Insurance up to RM100,000 (RM10)
  • Free eSIM activation (RM10)

Total stated value: RM75/month (Value-back: RM40)

EPIK+ 50

  • RM50 monthly fee
  • 350GB all-day Ultra-Fast 5G
  • Uncapped speeds up to 900Mbps (NO FUP)
  • Unlimited calls & hotspot
  • Exclusive Games & Dramas Access (RM30)
  • Personal Accident Insurance up to RM150,000 (RM15)
  • foodpanda Pandapro subscription (RM6.90)
  • Free eSIM activation (RM10)

Total stated value: RM102/month (Value-back: RM52)

“The industry has long sold larger and larger data quotas while quietly slowing customers down. Our focus is to give Malaysians real value not just bigger numbers. With EPIK+, users get full speeds with no hidden throttling, plus meaningful lifestyle and protection benefits that stretch every ringgit they spend,” – Gurtaj Singh Padda, Tune Talk co-founder and CEO

According to Tune Talk, they hope that this move to showcase total monthly utility will be able to encourage the whole telco industry to be more transparent and better highlight consumer benefit. It also continues the telco’s commitment towards ensuring customers get more than what they pay for each month.
