HONOR X70 Leak Teases 8,300mAh Battery That Could Make Power Banks Obsolete

One of the most exciting upgrades we’re seeing in smartphones is the inclusion of gargantuan battery capacities that promise at least two days of use. Only recently, vivo sub-brand iQOO released the mid-range Z10 with a massive 7,300mAh battery pack, making its battery one of the largest in Malaysia… so far.
If you think that’s plenty, the HONOR X70, slated for release in China on 15 July, is rumoured to feature a whopping 8,300mAh battery. Even more impressively, the battery is housed within a 7.7mm to 7.9mm thick body — roughly the standard size of most other smartphones. Supporting the massive battery is 80W wired charging, and HONOR is also expected to release another model offering the convenience of 80W wireless charging.

A smartphone of this caliber will be a dream for many who find power banks too much of a hassle. At this point, there’s no confirmation on whether the HONOR X70 will make its way to Malaysia. For the record, last year’s X60 didn’t launch here, so we’re not too hopeful — but still, one can dream.
Other rumoured specs of the X70 include a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, a 50MP OIS main camera, and a 6.79″ 1.5K (2640×1200) display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
HONOR Malaysia doesn’t appear to be marketing the X70 locally. However, they are hyping up their next-gen foldable – the Magic V5 – which is set to launch on 15 July.
