HONOR Unveils Magic8 Pro at Merdeka 118, Showcasing KL Skyline Through 200MP Lens

HONOR Malaysia officially launched its latest flagship, the HONOR Magic8 Pro, at an exclusive media event on the 98th floor of Merdeka 118 – the world’s second tallest building. The event showcased the phone’s camera performance, particularly its 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera, which captured detailed views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline and nearby landmarks.
The Magic8 Pro features a triple-camera system, led by the 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and CIPA 5.5-level stabilisation, a standard often seen in DSLR cameras. This setup reduces motion blur for clearer long-distance shots. It also includes a 50MP Ultra Night Main Camera with a wide f/1.6 aperture and OIS, and a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera with a 122° field of view, offering strong performance in both daylight and low-light conditions.
Selected as Photography Device for Visit Malaysia 2026

HONOR also announced that the Magic8 Pro has been selected as the Selected Photography Equipment of Visit Malaysia 2026. This collaboration aims to visually document the country’s natural beauty, cultural diversity, and food heritage. The initiative reflects HONOR’s support for creative storytelling and national tourism promotion.
In conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026, HONOR is launching a nationwide search for 50 photographers to explore and document Malaysia using the Magic8 Pro. Selected photographers will have their work showcased on HONOR’s platforms. Registration is open from 11 to 18 November 2025 via HONOR Malaysia’s website and Facebook page.
