Honor teases 2026 smartphone “Robot Phone”

Honor’s President of South Pacific, Mr. Justin Li teased a upcoming 2026 Honor smartphone that comes with a robotic camera arm that is supposedly ‘smart’.

Mr. Li rounded up the launch of the Honor Magic8 Pro event yesterday with a sneak preview of the 2026 model that will be launched in Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona happening from 2-5 March 2026.

In the video, the smartphone looks like a normal rectangular brick from the outset, and suddenly shows a gimbal arm unfold from the back of the camera bump area to reveal a camera.

There was also a quick showcase of how it is smart enough to sense scenes such as home, babies, night sky and interact with other robots.

This robot phone will definitely be the talk of the town when it is officially released.
