HONOR Magic8 Series Leaks Point to Massive 7,000mAh Battery Upgrade
We are inching ever closer to the end of 2025, and with that comes the leak of refreshed smartphone lineups making their way into 2026. One such series that has caught attention so far is HONOR’s Magic8 Series, with leaked images and specs surfacing over the past few weeks.
The Magic8 Series will likely stick to a base and Pro model as before, though it’s still uncertain whether Malaysia will receive both versions. Last year, HONOR only launched the Magic7 Pro here, with the base variant not making its way to our shores.

Nevertheless, we’re getting an idea of what the Magic8 Pro will offer. As expected, the phone will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, adding to the growing list of phones slated to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship. It will join the Xiaomi 17 series, the iQOO 15, and the OnePlus 15.
The Magic8 Pro looks set to retain most of its camera hardware, including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 200MP periscope telephoto.

One of the biggest upgrades will come in the form of the battery. HONOR is rumored to include at least a 7,000mAh battery in the series, with the Pro model unsurprisingly featuring the larger 7,200mAh capacity, supporting 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.
Stylistically, not much is expected to change. Leaked images show the Magic8 Pro with the same circular camera layout and curved edges. This year’s hero color appears to be White, according to the leaked images, though reports suggest it could also come in black, gold, and blue.

HONOR is expected to launch the Magic8 Series later this month in its home country of China, with global rollouts to follow. If we base it on last year’s trend, we’ll likely see the Magic8 Pro reach Malaysia sometime in January 2026.
