HONOR Magic V5 is Thinner Than a Coin – How Does It Compare to the OPPO Find N5?

HONOR has unveiled the world’s thinnest and lightest book-style foldable in China, a title it has held since last year when it debuted the Magic V3. With the curtains lifted off the Magic V5, we now have a foldable that’s even slimmer and lighter than before.

Specifically, the Magic V5 is 8.8mm thick when folded and a mind-boggling 4.1mm when unfolded. According to the company’s marketing posters, that’s slimmer than a 50-cent coin. Adding to its ultraportable appeal is its weight of just 217g.

The Magic V5 currently rivals the OPPO Find N5, which was launched back in February this year. However, it will soon face stiffer competition as Samsung prepares to release the Galaxy Z Fold7, slated for launch during its annual mid-year Galaxy Unpacked event on 9 July.
While we wait for more rivals to enter the fray, here’s how the Magic V5 stacks up against the OPPO Find N5.

HONOR Magic V5 price in Malaysia
HONOR Malaysia has not yet confirmed the price and configuration details of the Magic V5 for the local market. Its arrival is inevitable—it’s only a matter of when. In recent days, HONOR Malaysia’s Facebook page and official website have teased the foldable, indicating that the launch date is near.
To recap, the Magic V3 launched last year with a single 12GB/512GB configuration, priced at RM6,999.
This time around, there doesn’t appear to be a 12GB/512GB variant. In China, the configurations are limited to 12GB/256GB (RMB 8,999), 16GB/512GB (RMB 9,999), and 16GB/1TB (RMB 10,999). When converted, those prices are approximately RM5,298.63, RM5,893.57, and RM6,482.98, respectively.
